Broncos Stampede Past Cardinals in Preseason Showdown

In a display of sheer dominance, the Denver Broncos trounced the Arizona Cardinals with a staggering 38-12 victory at Empower Field at Mile High. This preseason game, held on August 25, 2024, showcased the Broncos' formidable prowess on both sides of the ball.

The Broncos' defense was nothing short of spectacular, racking up three sacks and forcing two fumbles while keeping the Cardinals to just 12 points. The defensive unit's relentless pressure resulted in a total loss of 28 yards for the Cardinals, highlighting their ability to disrupt any offensive rhythm. Dondrea Tillman stood out with his exceptional performance that included two passes defended and a significant role in one of those crucial forced fumbles.

On offense, Zach Wilson led an efficient passing attack with an impressive completion rate and two touchdowns without throwing an interception. His connection with Brandon Johnson was particularly noteworthy; they combined for one touchdown and a long reception that set up another score. The rushing game also found its stride as Blake Watson contributed significantly with his agility and speed.

Comparing this performance to their previous outing against the Green Bay Packers where they secured a convincing 27-2 win, it's clear that Denver is building momentum as they head into their next challenge against Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field. Their defense seems virtually impenetrable having forced turnovers and limited scoring opportunities across these games.

However, it's not just about defense; Denver’s offense has shown versatility and depth. From Wilson’s arm strength to Watson’s breakout runs and Johnson’s receiving prowess, opponents now have multiple threats to consider when facing this team.

As they prepare for Seattle Seahawks on September 8th at Lumen Field in Seattle - fans should expect this high-flying Broncos team to bring their A-game once again. With performances like these setting the tone for their season aspirations, there's every reason to believe that Denver could be eyeing more than just preseason victories.

Fans eager not to miss any action can catch this upcoming game live on CBS at 4:05 PM EDT.
