Houston Texans Edge Out Denver Broncos at NRG Stadium in Week 13 Showdown

In a closely contested Week 13 NFL game at NRG Stadium, the Houston Texans improved their season record to 7-6 with a hard-fought victory over the Denver Broncos. The final score read 22-17 in favor of the home team, as both teams displayed competitive spirit and resilience throughout the match.

The Houston Texans showcased a balanced offensive performance against the Broncos. The team's passing game accumulated a total of 292 yards with an average of eight yards per attempt, and their quarterback maintained a commendable passer rating of 108. The longest pass completion was an impressive 59-yard throw, contributing significantly to their aerial attack. On the ground, the Texans rushed for a total of 89 yards across thirty attempts, managing an average close to three yards per carry and scoring one touchdown from a three-yard rush.


Defensively, Houston made its presence felt by recording three sacks for a loss of twenty-two yards and five tackles for loss totaling twenty-five negative yards against Denver's offense. The defense also hurried the opposing quarterback seven times and hit him eight times overall. Furthermore, they successfully intercepted three passes during crucial moments in the game.

Special teams played an integral role as well; Houston's punting unit averaged nearly fifty-one yards across seven attempts with two punts landing inside the twenty-yard line. Field goal kicking was impeccable with all three attempted field goals successfully converted – contributing nine points to their tally.


Penalties were somewhat of an issue for both sides; however, it was not enough to derail Houston's efforts as they incurred eight penalties costing them eighty-one yards throughout playtime but still managed to maintain control over possession time which stood at approximately thirty-three minutes.
