Houston Texans Grapple with Cleveland Browns at NRG Stadium in Week 16 Showdown

The Houston Texans faced a tough challenge against the Cleveland Browns at NRG Stadium, ending the game with a score of 36-22. The Browns improved their season record to 11-5, while the Texans now stand at 9-7.

The home crowd of 70,831 fans witnessed the Texans' offense accumulate a total of 250 yards. Despite their efforts, they were unable to overcome the Browns' defense. The passing game saw quarterback pressure resulting in three sacks and two interceptions from a total of 49 attempts. However, they managed to complete two touchdown passes and achieve an average pocket time of roughly three seconds.


On special teams, the Texans showed some spark with a kick return touchdown that covered an impressive distance of 98 yards out of their total kick return yardage of 183. Their efficiency in red zone situations was notable as well, converting two out of three opportunities into scores.

Defensively, the Texans forced one fumble and secured it themselves without any turnovers from this play. They also recorded seven passes defended and intercepted two passes from the opposition. The defense made its presence felt by achieving one sack for ten yards lost and forcing eight tackles for loss totaling thirty yards.


In terms of penalties, discipline was an issue as they incurred ten penalties amounting to seventy-six yards given up which impacted their overall game flow.
