NRG Stadium Showdown: Houston Texans Dominate Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4

In a decisive Week 4 matchup at NRG Stadium, the Houston Texans and the Pittsburgh Steelers both entered the field with identical records of 2-2. However, by the end of the game, it was clear that only one team would maintain a balanced win-loss ratio. The final score read 30-6 in favor of the home team, as the Texans showcased their dominance on both sides of the ball.

The Houston crowd witnessed an impressive offensive display by their team. The Texans' passing game was particularly effective; they amassed a total of 312 yards through air with an average gain per play standing at a notable 6.5 yards. Quarterback performance was stellar, boasting a passer rating of 122 and connecting on three touchdown passes, including one that went for an explosive 52-yard score.


The ground attack complemented this aerial assault as well, contributing to overall offensive production with 139 rushing yards from 38 attempts. Despite not reaching the end zone via rush plays, they managed to break five tackles and gained significant yardage after contact.

Defensively, the Texans were just as formidable. They recorded three sacks for a loss of twenty-one yards and forced seven tackles for loss totaling thirty-three negative yards against their opponents. The defense also made its presence felt in pass coverage by intercepting one pass which they returned for thirty-three yards while defending five passes overall.


Special teams played their part too; field goal kicking was perfect on the day with three successful attempts out of three – all within thirty-nine yards – contributing nine points to their tally.

As for penalties, eight flags were thrown against them costing sixty-three penalty yards but did not significantly hinder their performance or momentum throughout this contest.


On Pittsburgh's side despite valiant efforts could not match up to Houston's intensity or execution level during this game at NRG Stadium. Their offense struggled to find rhythm resulting in only six points scored which came without any touchdowns being registered on board - highlighting difficulties faced when trying penetrate Texan defense who forced three-and-outs thrice during course playtime allocated them (32:35).
