Houston's Defensive Dominance


The Texans' defense was nothing short of spectacular, racking up seven sacks and forcing two interceptions. Will Anderson Jr. and Danielle Hunter led the charge with 1.5 sacks each, contributing significantly to the team's total sack yardage of 40 yards. The defensive unit also recorded nine tackles for loss and three forced three-and-outs, showcasing their ability to disrupt the Bears' offensive rhythm consistently.


Derek Stingley Jr. and Kamari Lassiter were instrumental in turning over possession with one interception apiece, highlighting Houston's secondary's ability to capitalize on crucial moments. These turnovers played pivotal roles in maintaining momentum on Houston’s side throughout the game.

Offensive Contributions


On offense, quarterback C.J. Stroud completed 23 out of 36 attempts for a total of 260 yards passing, including one touchdown pass without throwing an interception—demonstrating efficiency and control in his role as signal-caller. Nico Collins emerged as Stroud’s favorite target for this game; hauling in eight receptions for an impressive total of 135 yards receiving and scoring one touchdown.


Ka'imi Fairbairn contributed significantly by successfully converting all four field goal attempts with his longest being from an impressive distance of 59 yards out—accounting for more than half of Houston’s points scored during this contest.
