Clash at Lucas Oil Stadium: Indianapolis Colts to Host Houston Texans

As the Indianapolis Colts prepare to welcome the Houston Texans to Lucas Oil Stadium, fans are eager for insights into what can be expected from this NFL matchup. The Colts have had a challenging season, with their recent game against the Texans ending in a narrow defeat, 32-31. Despite outscoring the Texans 24-15 in the second half, it wasn't enough to secure victory.

Looking back at their past performances provides valuable context. In Week 17 against the New York Giants, they struggled significantly, managing only 10 points compared to the Giants' dominant 38 points. Their offense was limited to an average of just over four yards per play and suffered from turnovers and penalties that hindered their progress.

The previous home game for the Colts saw them scoring a mere three points against Los Angeles Chargers' twenty. The offensive line allowed seven sacks and three interceptions were thrown – factors that contributed heavily to their loss despite a strong defensive performance with four sacks and one interception made.

However, there was a glimmer of hope in Week 15 when they scored an impressive 36 points against Minnesota Vikings' even more impressive tally of 39. They showed potential on offense with over four yards per play on average and were able to force turnovers while limiting their own mistakes.

The upcoming game is crucial for Indianapolis as they aim to improve upon these mixed results. Fans can expect them to focus on reducing turnovers and capitalizing on scoring opportunities – areas where they've shown both strengths and weaknesses throughout these games.

Lucas Oil Stadium has been known for its retractable roof which could influence playing conditions depending on whether it's open or closed during game time; however, regardless of weather conditions inside or outside of the stadium, fans will be looking forward to seeing if Indianapolis can turn around its fortunes this time around.

Mark your calendars for January 8th at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis where kickoff is scheduled for 1 PM local time (18:00 UTC). Fans not attending can catch all the action live on CBS.
