Can the Jacksonville Jaguars Claw Back Against the Carolina Panthers?

As the Jacksonville Jaguars gear up to host the Carolina Panthers at EverBank Stadium on December 31st, fans are left pondering whether their team can turn around their recent misfortunes. The JAC's performance in recent weeks has been a mixed bag of highs and lows, leaving supporters with a sense of uncertainty as they head into this crucial matchup.

Looking back at the Jaguars' last game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on December 24th, it was evident that offensive struggles played a significant role in their downfall. Despite accumulating 305 total yards, they were only able to put up 12 points on the scoreboard. The passing game saw an average completion percentage of 64 with two touchdowns but was marred by two interceptions and four sacks allowed. The ground attack didn't fare much better, managing a meager 37 yards from just 13 attempts.

Defensively, there were some positives to take away from that game; JAC recorded two sacks and forced five passes defended against TB. However, missed tackles remained an issue with eight occurrences – a statistic that must be improved upon if they are to stifle CAR's offense.

The previous home game for JAC against Baltimore Ravens on December 18th showcased stronger defensive prowess with three sacks and one interception but ultimately resulted in only seven points for JAC while allowing BAL to score 23 points. This highlighted an ongoing concern for Jacksonville: consistency across both sides of the ball is needed if victories are expected.

In contrast, during their visit to Cleveland Browns Stadium on December 10th, we saw what this team is capable of when firing on all cylinders – putting up four touchdowns and achieving perfect redzone efficiency (100 percent). Yet even then, turnovers proved costly as they surrendered four which led them narrowly missing out with a final scoreline of Jacksonville's 27 points to Cleveland's winning tally of 31.

The upcoming clash will require Jacksonville Jaguars not only to replicate their offensive efficiency seen against CLE but also tighten up defensively by reducing penalties which have plagued them throughout these past games (accumulating over six per match).

With all eyes set towards EverBank Stadium come New Year’s Eve at precisely six o'clock PM Eastern Time; fans can catch all action live on CBS where JAC will need every ounce support possible if they're going overcome CAR challenge ahead them.
