EverBank Stadium Showdown: Jacksonville Jaguars Fall to Baltimore Ravens

In a contest that saw the Jacksonville Jaguars drop to an 8-6 record and the Baltimore Ravens improve to 11-3, the final score read 23-7 in favor of the visiting team. The game, held at EverBank Stadium, was attended by a crowd of 68,021 fans who witnessed a tough day for the home side.

The Jaguars' offense struggled to find its rhythm throughout the game. Despite completing 25 out of 43 passing attempts for a total of 264 yards and scoring one touchdown on a notable 65-yard pass—the longest completion of the game—the team's overall efficiency was lacking. The passing success rate was only around 58 percent with an average gain per play sitting at about six yards. The ground attack didn't fare much better; they managed just four yards per carry over seventeen attempts, accumulating only seventy-five rushing yards with no touchdowns.

Defensively, Jacksonville showed some resilience with three sacks and twenty-six sack yards against their opponents. They also recorded an interception which they returned for eighteen yards. However, this defensive effort wasn't enough to turn the tide as missed tackles and penalties hindered their performance.

Special teams had mixed results; while punters averaged nearly forty-nine net yards across three punts with one landing inside the twenty-yard line, field goal kickers missed both attempts from beyond fifty yards. On kickoff returns though, they excelled averaging over thirty yards on three returns with their longest being thirty-eight.

The Ravens capitalized on opportunities where Jacksonville faltered. Their defense limited third-down conversions to just three successes out of thirteen attempts by Jacksonville and allowed only two successful conversions on fourth down from three tries by the home team.

As fans look ahead after this tough loss at home, attention turns towards future matchups for redemption and improvement in standings. The next challenge for Jacksonville will be against Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on December twenty-fourth at four o'clock PM Eastern Time. Fans can catch all action live as it unfolds on CBS network broadcasts.
