Can Jacksonville Jaguars' Ground Game and Defense Outshine New England Patriots at Wembley?

The Jacksonville Jaguars improved their season record to 2-5 after a commanding victory over the New England Patriots, who fell to 1-6. In a match that ended 32-16, the Jaguars showcased a balanced attack and stout defense in front of an enthusiastic crowd of 86,651 at London's Wembley Stadium.

The Jaguars' offense was firing on all cylinders, accumulating a total of 364 yards. The ground game was particularly effective, with the team rushing for 171 yards across 39 attempts. Tank Bigsby led the charge with an impressive performance, rushing for 118 yards on 26 carries and scoring two touchdowns. His longest run stretched for 13 yards, demonstrating his ability to break through the defense.


Trevor Lawrence also had an efficient day under center. Completing 75 percent of his passes for a total of 193 yards and one touchdown pass without any interceptions contributed significantly to the team's success. His longest completion was a remarkable throw that covered 58 yards.


On special teams, Parker Washington made headlines by returning a punt for a touchdown covering an incredible distance of 96 yards. This play not only electrified fans but also underscored the Jaguars' multi-faceted threat in this game.


Defensive Dominance


The defensive unit played no small part in securing this win for Jacksonville. They recorded two sacks and five tackles for loss while limiting the Patriots to just one touchdown throughout the game. Devin Lloyd was among those who stood out on defense with five tackles, six assists, one sack that resulted in five lost yards for New England, showcasing his versatility and leadership on the field.


Travon Walker also made significant contributions by adding another sack that pushed back New England by fourteen yards along with three combined tackles which helped stifle many Patriot drives before they could gain momentum.
