The Las Vegas Raiders are coming into this game with a mixed bag of statistics from the previous season. Their efficiency in critical areas such as red zone (49 percent), third down (36 percent), and goal-to-go situations (65 percent) shows room for improvement but also highlights their potential to capitalize on crucial moments. The team's fourth-down conversion rate stands at an impressive 61 percent, indicating a willingness to take risks that often pay off.

In terms of individual performance metrics, the Raiders demonstrated solid capabilities across various aspects of play. Their passing game was reliable with a completion percentage of 62 and an average yards per attempt sitting at seven, contributing to an overall quarterback rating of 80.1. The rushing department averaged four yards per carry with their longest run stretching 63 yards into a touchdown – showcasing explosive potential in their ground game.

Special teams played a pivotal role as well with punt returns averaging ten yards and kick returns averaging 24 yards, setting up favorable field positions. The defensive unit racked up 46 sacks and secured 13 interceptions last season; these numbers reflect a defense that can apply pressure and create turnovers.

However, penalties appeared to be an area needing attention; with 75 penalties last season, discipline could be key in determining outcomes this year.

As they face off against the Chargers at SoFi Stadium – known for its electrifying atmosphere – it will be interesting to see how these statistics translate onto the field. Will the Raiders' offense break through against their rivals? Can their defense disrupt the Chargers' strategy? And importantly, will special teams continue to provide advantageous positions?

Fans can catch all this action live on CBS on September 8th at 4:05 PM ET from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. This matchup not only offers early bragging rights but also sets the tone for both teams’ ambitions this season.
