The game began with both teams testing each other's defenses. The Silver and Black's quarterback Aidan O'Connell completed 18 of his 30 passes, accumulating 205 yards and one touchdown despite two interceptions. His longest pass reached an impressive 33 yards, setting up key plays early on.
