Chargers Narrowly Miss Victory in Tense Matchup at Arrowhead

In a closely contested battle at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, the Los Angeles Chargers fell just short against the Kansas City Chiefs, with a final score of 17-19. This game brought the Chargers' season record to 8-5, while the Chiefs advanced to an impressive 12-1. The Chargers showcased their skills on both sides of the ball. Justin Herbert, quarterback for Los Angeles, completed 70 percent of his passes for a total of 213 yards and threw one touchdown. His performance was pivotal in keeping the Chargers competitive throughout the game. On special teams, Cameron Dicker successfully converted a field goal attempt from 37 yards out and made both extra point attempts.


On defense, Joey Bosa recorded one sack and contributed significantly by applying pressure on Kansas City's offense. Derwin James Jr., another standout player for Los Angeles's defense, also registered a sack along with two tackles for loss totaling six yards lost by Kansas City.

The rushing attack was led by Gus Edwards who rushed for 36 yards on ten carries and scored one touchdown. Joshua Palmer emerged as Herbert's top target catching six passes for 78 yards but was kept out of the end zone by Kansas City’s vigilant defense.
