Quarterback Sam Darnold was particularly outstanding, completing 22 out of 28 attempts for a total of 347 yards and contributing five touchdowns to his team's tally without throwing a single interception. Wide receiver Jordan Addison emerged as one of Darnold's favorite targets during the game. Addison made eight receptions on twelve targets and racked up an impressive total of 133 receiving yards while scoring three touchdowns. Justin Jefferson also had a notable performance with seven receptions for 132 yards and two touchdowns.

On the ground, Aaron Jones Sr. led the rushing attack with thirteen carries for seventy-three yards and scored one touchdown. Cam Akers added thirty-seven rushing yards on five attempts.


Defensive Standouts


The defense played a crucial role in securing this victory for the Vikings as well by forcing two interceptions against the Falcons' offense and recording one sack by Jamin Davis alongside four quarterback hits across various defenders which contributed significantly to limiting Atlanta's scoring opportunities.

Byron Murphy Jr.'s interception was pivotal in halting an Atlanta drive and shifting momentum towards Minnesota while Joshua Metellus also contributed with an interception that further stifled any comeback hopes from Atlanta.
