Giants' Ground Game Gains Traction but Falls Short Against Cowboys

The Giants showcased resilience and tactical prowess throughout the match. Quarterback Drew Lock completed 21 out of 32 attempts, throwing for 178 yards with an average of 6 yards per completion. However, his efforts were marred by an interception that contributed to one of two turnovers for New York.


On the ground, New York's rushing attack was notable with a total of 116 yards on 21 attempts, averaging an impressive 6 yards per carry. Tyrone Tracy Jr., in particular, stood out by scoring one touchdown alongside his contribution of 32 rushing yards over nine carries. Drew Lock also demonstrated versatility by adding another touchdown through his scrambling ability, accumulating a total of 57 rushing yards on four attempts.

The receiving corps had mixed results; Malik Nabers led with eight receptions totaling 69 yards while Theo Johnson provided support with five catches for an additional 54 yards. Despite their efforts in advancing play and securing first downs when needed most, they could not find their way into the end zone.


Defensively, Bobby Okereke made significant contributions with five tackles and two tackles for loss among nine combined tackles overall—highlighting his role as a key player in attempting to contain Dallas' offensive maneuvers.
