The New York Jets, playing on their home turf, were unable to secure a victory despite their efforts. The offense managed to accumulate a total of 171 yards throughout the game. The Jets' passing attack was led by their quarterback who completed 18 out of 36 attempts for 157 yards; however, they failed to connect for any touchdowns through the air. On the ground, the rushing unit struggled as well, gaining only 38 yards on 22 attempts and scoring one touchdown.

Special teams contributed positively with a successful field goal from beyond 50 yards and an extra point kick after their lone touchdown. In terms of ball handling, the Jets maintained possession without losing any fumbles and recorded one own recovery.

Defensively, while not recording any sacks or interceptions against their opponents, they did manage to apply pressure resulting in five quarterback hits and defended four passes effectively. They also forced three three-and-outs during play but allowed two touchdowns which ultimately decided the outcome.

On special teams for returns, kick returners brought back kicks for an average of nearly 28 yards per return including a long return of 30 yards while punt returners added an average close to ten yards per attempt.

Despite these efforts by players across all units – offense, defense and special teams – it was not enough to overcome the Patriots' lead. Penalties were minimal during this match-up with only three infractions costing them fifteen total penalty yards.

Looking ahead after this tough loss at home against division rivals from New England Patriots (1-2), fans can look forward to watching their team take on another challenge when they host Kansas City Chiefs (KC) at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford on October second at eight twenty PM Eastern Time broadcasted live on NBC network channels. This will be another opportunity for fans to support their team as they continue through this season's games.
