New York Jets Grounded by Broncos in London Turf Tussle

First Quarter

The New York Jets, still seeking their first victory of the season, faced off against the Denver Broncos at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. The game began with both teams struggling to find their rhythm offensively. The Jets' defense, however, showcased resilience early on with Jamien Sherwood leading the charge with 6 tackles and 7 assists throughout the game. Despite this defensive effort, neither team managed to score a touchdown in the opening quarter.

Second Quarter

As the second quarter unfolded, it was clear that field goals would play a crucial role in this matchup. Nick Folk of Gang Green was perfect on his attempts, successfully converting all three field goals for a total of 131 yards and a longest kick of 52 yards. However, despite these efforts from special teams and solid punting by Thomas Morstead who averaged over 50 yards per punt attempt, offensive struggles persisted for New York.

Third Quarter

The third quarter saw some sparks from Breece Hall who rushed for 59 yards on 22 attempts but failed to break through Denver's defensive line for any significant gains or touchdowns. Meanwhile, Justin Fields faced immense pressure from Denver's defense resulting in him being sacked nine times during the game which severely hampered any passing momentum.

Fourth Quarter

In what could be described as a pivotal moment or turning point during this period was when Jermaine Johnson recorded one sack contributing to New York’s only safety of the match but it wasn’t enough to shift momentum significantly towards them. The Broncos capitalized on turnovers and maintained control through strategic plays eventually sealing their victory over Gang Green with an overall scoreline favoring them at full-time result.
