Key Performances on Both Sides

The game was characterized by significant contributions from key players on both teams. For the Steelers, quarterback Russell Wilson completed half of his passes for 195 yards, throwing three touchdowns against one interception. His performance was crucial in securing this win for Pittsburgh. Wide receiver George Pickens stood out as well, with five receptions totaling 91 yards and scoring one touchdown, showcasing his importance in the Steelers' offensive strategy.

On defense, Cameron Heyward made an impactful presence with two sacks and two tackles for loss, contributing significantly to limiting the Commanders' offense. Preston Smith also added a sack and two tackles for loss to his season tally.

The Commanders put up a strong fight but ultimately couldn't overcome the Steelers' defense when it mattered most. Despite using all three timeouts and mounting pressure late in the game, they fell just short of a comeback victory.
