In a defensive showdown at Empower Field at Mile High, the San Francisco 49ers showcased their defensive capabilities by recording four sacks and forcing nine three-and-outs against the Denver Broncos. Despite this impressive display, it was not enough to secure victory. The defense also managed to hurry the quarterback five times and hit him on nine occasions while tallying seven tackles for loss, which accounted for a loss of thirty-five yards.

On offense, the 49ers' passing game saw them complete eighteen out of twenty-nine attempts for two hundred eleven yards including one touchdown pass that covered three yards. Their completion percentage stood at sixty-two percent with an average gain of five point one per play across all plays. However, they were hindered by an interception and two lost fumbles among their three total fumbles during the game.

The rushing attack added eighty-eight yards on nineteen carries with an average of four point six per carry. The longest run stretched thirty-seven yards contributing significantly to their total yardage. In terms of special teams performance, punting was notably effective with seven attempts averaging fifty-one yards each and placing three inside the twenty-yard line.

Despite these efforts, penalties proved costly as they accumulated forty penalty yards over seven infractions which impacted their overall efficiency in critical moments throughout the contest.

Looking ahead to future matchups after this closely contested battle in Denver's high altitude environment, fans can mark their calendars for an exciting encounter as Levi's Stadium will host a face-off between Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers on October third at five fifteen PM Pacific Time. This upcoming game will be broadcasted live on ESPN for fans eager to follow every play from Santa Clara's renowned venue.
