The San Francisco 49ers faced a challenging matchup against the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs, culminating in an 18-28 loss for the home team. Key Performances and Game Highlights

The San Francisco defense showed moments of brilliance, notably achieving two interceptions and applying pressure with two sacks on the quarterback. Defensive lineman Leonard Floyd made significant contributions with one sack and one tackle for loss, showcasing his ability to breach offensive lines. Additionally, defensive backs Deommodore Lenoir and Kalia Davis each secured an interception, highlighting their defensive awareness against Kansas City's potent passing attack.

On special teams, Mitch Wishnowsky had a busy day punting with four attempts totaling 193 yards and managing to place three inside the 20-yard line. His performance underscored his role in controlling field position under pressure.

Offensively, Brock Purdy struggled against a relentless Chiefs defense, completing only 55 percent of his passes for a total of 212 yards but was intercepted three times. The rushing game saw some success with Jordan Mason leading with 58 yards on fourteen carries. However, it was Purdy who found the end zone twice on rushes despite his challenges in passing efficiency.

Looking Ahead

As they look forward to their next game, the San Francisco 49ers will need to regroup and address their offensive struggles while maintaining their defensive intensity. Their upcoming match is set against Dallas Cowboys at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara on October 27th at 8:20 PM EDT. Fans can catch this anticipated game live on NBC as both teams vie for victory.
