Seahawks Stumble at Lumen Field Against 49ers in Week 12 Showdown

The Seattle Seahawks, with a record of 6-5, faced off against the San Francisco 49ers, who held an 8-3 record, in a highly anticipated matchup at Lumen Field. The final score read 31-13 in favor of the visiting team.

In front of a near-capacity crowd of 68,702 fans at Lumen Field, the Seahawks struggled to find their rhythm against a formidable San Francisco defense. The home team managed to accumulate only 220 total yards compared to their opponents' more prolific offensive output. Seattle's passing game was particularly hindered by the opposing defense; despite completing 18 out of 27 attempts for a completion percentage of roughly 67 percent and totaling up to180 yards through the air, they failed to reach the end zone and suffered one interception.

The ground game offered little respite for Seattle as they rushed for just under four yards per carry on average with no touchdowns recorded. Their longest rush was capped at eleven yards which contributed to their total rushing yardage of eighty-eight. The offensive line had difficulties protecting their quarterback who was sacked six times resulting in forty-eight lost yards and contributing to an overall net passing yardage of just one hundred thirty-two.

Special teams provided some bright spots with field goal kicking being notably efficient; two out three attempts were successful including one from beyond fifty yards. However, this proficiency could not compensate for other areas where performance lagged.

Defensively, Seattle managed only one sack and five tackles for loss while allowing three forced three-and-outs throughout the game. They did manage an interception return touchdown which accounted for their sole visit to the end zone during this contest.

As fans look ahead after this tough outing at home, they can mark their calendars for when the Seahawks will take on Dallas Cowboys away from home turf at AT&T Stadium on December first at eight fifteen PM Eastern Time. This upcoming game will be broadcasted on Amazon Prime Video where fans can tune in hoping for a better outcome than what transpired against San Francisco.
