Key Performances and Moments

The game was characterized by several standout performances from both teams. For Seattle, quarterback Geno Smith had an efficient outing, throwing for 314 yards with a completion rate of 72 percent and contributing three touchdowns despite two interceptions. His connection with wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba was particularly noteworthy; Smith-Njigba racked up 95 receiving yards on eight receptions and scored one touchdown.

On defense, Josh Jobe led with seven tackles, showcasing his ability to halt opposing drives effectively. Meanwhile, Boye Mafe made his presence felt by recording one sack and applying consistent pressure on Minnesota's offense throughout the game.

Special teams also played a crucial role in this tightly contested match. Michael Dickson punted five times for Seattle, achieving an average of over 48 net yards per punt and successfully pinning Minnesota inside their own 20-yard line twice.

Despite these individual efforts and maintaining possession for nearly half of the game time while accumulating over 360 total yards of offense, penalties proved costly for Seattle. The team was penalized eleven times for a loss of seventy-seven yards which hindered their momentum at critical junctures.
