Key Performances on the Field

The Buccaneers' efforts were highlighted by several key performances despite the tough outcome. Quarterback Baker Mayfield was under significant pressure throughout the game, enduring seven sacks but still managing to complete 25 out of 33 attempts for a total of 163 yards, including one touchdown pass. His resilience under pressure was notable, maintaining a completion percentage of 76 percent and achieving an average of five yards per attempt.

On the ground, Bucky Irving emerged as a bright spot for Tampa Bay with nine carries for an impressive total of seventy yards. His longest rush spanned thirty-two yards, contributing significantly to his average of eight yards per carry and securing three first downs for his team.

Receiving efforts were led by Chris Godwin and Cade Otton. Godwin secured six receptions on nine targets for fifty-three yards and scored one touchdown – marking him as one of Mayfield's favorite targets during this contest. Otton also made his presence felt with seven catches totaling forty-seven yards on eight targets.

Defensive Efforts

Defensively, Jamel Dean stood out with thirteen combined tackles (nine solo), showcasing his ability to halt opposing offenses effectively. Lavonte David contributed significantly as well by forcing a fumble amidst his eight combined tackles (three solo), demonstrating Tampa Bay's defensive tenacity even in difficult moments.
