Titans and Texans Set for Showdown at Nissan Stadium

As the Tennessee Titans prepare to welcome the Houston Texans to Nissan Stadium, fans are eager to see if their team can bounce back from a string of close games. The Titans have shown resilience in recent weeks, despite their 5-10 record. In their last game against the Miami Dolphins, they narrowly lost by one point (28-27), showcasing a strong offensive performance with 403 total yards and an average gain of nearly six yards per play.

The Titans' defense has been aggressive, accumulating five sacks and forcing three turnovers in that same game. However, they also gave up three fumbles themselves, which is an area they'll need to tighten up against the Texans. Their passing game was effective with a completion percentage of about 61 percent for 327 yards and one touchdown.

In Week 13 against the Indianapolis Colts at home, the Titans put up a tough fight but fell short by three points (31-28). They managed an impressive rushing effort with 177 yards and two touchdowns on the ground but struggled on third down conversions at only about 35 percent success rate.

Against the Carolina Panthers in Week 12, also at Nissan Stadium, Tennessee secured a win (17-10) with a solid defensive showing that included four sacks and nine tackles for loss. The offense was less explosive but efficient enough in red zone situations with a perfect conversion rate.

Looking ahead to their matchup against Houston Texans on December 17th at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, TN; fans should expect another gritty performance from their team. The venue has seen both triumphs and heartbreaks this season; however, its familiar confines could provide just enough edge for the Titans as they seek redemption after recent narrow defeats.

Fans can catch all the action live on CBS starting at 6 PM local time or follow along through various sports networks covering this anticipated NFL showdown.
