Tennessee Titans Narrowly Outscored at Nissan Stadium by Houston Texans

The Tennessee Titans' record fell to 5-9 after a close game against the Houston Texans, who improved to 8-6 with a final score of 19-16. The matchup at Nissan Stadium saw the home team Titans fall just short in their efforts to secure a victory.

In front of an attendance of 66,219 fans, the Tennessee Titans displayed a solid defensive effort with four sacks and ten tackles for loss. The defense also forced two three-and-outs and defended six passes throughout the game. A highlight for the Titans' defense was an interception return for a touchdown, covering 44 yards and contributing significantly to their total points.

On special teams, the Titans punter had eight attempts totaling 362 yards with an average hang time of over four seconds per punt. One punt landed inside the opponent's 20-yard line. Additionally, they successfully made one field goal from within the range of 49 yards.

The offensive side saw mixed results for Tennessee. The rushing attack managed only one touchdown and averaged just over two yards per carry across thirty attempts. Despite these struggles on the ground, they did achieve six first downs through rushing efforts.

Passing was similarly challenging; although completing seventeen out of twenty-six attempts with a completion percentage rounding up to sixty-five percent, they were unable to find the end zone through air travel. Quarterback protection was an issue as well; seven sacks were allowed for a loss of sixty-one yards overall.

Penalties posed another hurdle for Tennessee; five penalties cost them fifty yards throughout playtime but did not result in any lost fumbles or safeties against them.

Looking ahead after this hard-fought battle at home soil in Nashville's Nissan Stadium, fans can anticipate watching their team take on their next challenge when they face off against Seattle Seahawks on December 24th at Nissan Stadium again. This upcoming game is scheduled for broadcast on CBS network where supporters can tune in to cheer on their team once more during this regular season encounter.
