Titans' Efforts Overshadowed in High-Scoring Duel with Commanders

In a week 13 matchup that saw the Tennessee Titans fall to the Washington Commanders with a final score of 19-42, both teams showcased their strengths and weaknesses on the field. The Titans, now standing at a 3-9 record, faced off against a stronger Commanders team, which improved their season to an 8-5 record. Despite the loss, several Titans players had notable performances that deserve recognition.

Key Performances from Tennessee Titans


Quarterback Will Levis completed 18 out of 37 attempts for a total of 212 yards, contributing two touchdowns to the team's effort without succumbing to any interceptions. His performance yielded an average of nearly six yards per attempt and an overall quarterback rating of 84.5 percent. Levis also attempted two rushes but ended up losing three yards overall due to defensive pressure from the Commanders.


Running back Tony Pollard was another bright spot for the Titans, rushing for 35 yards across eight attempts and achieving an average of over four yards per carry. His efforts contributed significantly to maintaining some level of offensive momentum for his team.


On special teams, punter Ryan Stonehouse demonstrated his skill with four punts totaling 213 yards and achieving an impressive average distance per punt. However, his efforts were not enough to significantly impact field position in favor of Tennessee.


Defensively, Amani Hooker made significant contributions including one interception and defending one pass which highlighted his defensive prowess during this challenging game. Linebacker Kenneth Murray also stood out by forcing one fumble and recording half a sack alongside five tackles and five assists.


Washington Commanders Take Control


The Washington Commanders capitalized on their opportunities throughout the game leading them towards victory with strong offensive plays resulting in six touchdowns against Tennessee's defense which struggled to contain Washington's advances despite making two sacks and forcing three fumbles throughout the game.
