Clash at AT&T Stadium: Washington Commanders Take on Dallas Cowboys

As the Washington Commanders prepare to face the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium, fans are looking for signs of hope after a series of challenging games. The Commanders' recent performance has been a rollercoaster, but there's reason to believe they could turn the tide in their upcoming matchup.

In their last game on November 19 against the New York Giants, the Commanders fell short with a score of 19-31. Despite this loss, there were flashes of brilliance that could be harnessed against the Cowboys. The defense racked up an impressive nine sacks and forced five three-and-outs. However, turnovers were a significant issue as they gave up six in total—three lost fumbles and three interceptions.

The offensive side showed potential too; with 403 total yards and an average gain of 5.2 yards per play, it's clear that when they hold onto the ball, they can move it effectively. Their rushing attack was particularly strong with an average of over six yards per carry.

Looking back further to November 12 against Seattle Seahawks reveals another close contest where WAS scored 26 points but conceded 29. Again turnovers played a role with one lost fumble; however, their passing game was more effective here with three touchdowns and no interceptions—a quarterback rating improvement to 109.3 from just over half that in their latest outing.

Against New England Patriots on November 5th, WAS eked out a win by three points (20-17), showing resilience even when not playing at home—a trait that will be crucial come game day at AT&T Stadium.

The key for WAS is consistency and ball security; if they can replicate their defensive prowess while minimizing turnovers offensively, they stand a good chance against DAL who will undoubtedly be tough competitors on home turf.

Fans should expect WAS to lean heavily on their running game which has shown efficiency across recent matches while hoping for continued improvement in pass protection to reduce sacks allowed which have totaled seven across these past games reviewed.

WAS supporters should mark their calendars for November 23rd at AT&T Stadium where kickoff is scheduled for late afternoon local time (4:30 PM EST). This pivotal NFC East matchup will be broadcasted live on CBS—don't miss what promises to be an intense battle as both teams vie for divisional supremacy.
