First Quarter

The opening quarter saw both teams testing each other's defenses. The Commanders struggled to gain momentum on offense, with Marcus Mariota completing only half of his passes for a total of 95 yards throughout the game. Despite this, Chris Rodriguez Jr. managed to break through with a notable rushing touchdown from three yards out.

Second Quarter

As the second quarter unfolded, Terry McLaurin emerged as a key target for Mariota, securing three receptions and advancing for 53 yards. However, it was not enough to keep pace with the Eagles' offensive surge led by their quarterback's precision passing and strategic plays that capitalized on gaps in Washington's defense.

Third Quarter

In the third quarter, Bobby Wagner stood out defensively for Washington with one sack and ten combined tackles. His efforts were complemented by Jacob Martin's forced fumble which briefly shifted momentum towards Washington but ultimately did not alter Philadelphia’s control over the game.

Fourth Quarter

The final quarter highlighted some defensive resilience from Frankie Luvu and Jeremy Reaves who contributed significantly with tackles and assists respectively. Yet despite these efforts, Philadelphia maintained their lead through effective ball control and clock management strategies that sealed their win.

Washington Commanders vs Philadelphia Eagles recap underscores how critical defensive plays were pivotal yet insufficient against an efficient Eagles offense that exploited every opportunity presented during this matchup.
