Anaheim Ducks Set to Battle Arizona Coyotes at Mullett Arena

As the Anaheim Ducks prepare to face off against the Arizona Coyotes at Mullett Arena, fans are eager for what promises to be an intriguing matchup. The Ducks have had a rollercoaster of performances in their recent games, and this upcoming game on October 21st is a chance for them to establish consistency.

In their last encounter with the Dallas Stars on October 20th, the Ducks fell short by just one point, finishing with a score of 2-3. Despite outshooting the Stars with 29 shots to their 24 and delivering more hits (23 compared to Dallas' 12), Anaheim's efforts were not enough. A critical area where they struggled was faceoffs, winning only around 36 percent compared to Dallas' impressive approximate win rate of 64 percent. This aspect of play will be crucial for them in their upcoming game against Arizona.

The previous victory over the Carolina Hurricanes on October 16th showcased what the Ducks are capable of when they're firing on all cylinders. They dominated with six goals from just 25 shots – an astonishing shooting percentage of about 24 percent – and matched Carolina in faceoffs won. However, it's worth noting that while they excelled offensively during even-strength play, their powerplay opportunities did not translate into goals despite having two chances.

Looking back further at their performance against Vegas Golden Knights on October 15th paints a picture of resilience but also highlights areas needing improvement. The Ducks managed only one goal from an admirable effort of about twenty-three shots but allowed four goals against them.

The Coyotes will be no easy opponent; however, if Anaheim can leverage its offensive prowess shown against Carolina and tighten up defensively as seen in parts of other recent games, there is potential for success at Mullett Arena.

For fans looking forward to this clash between Pacific Division rivals: mark your calendars for Saturday night hockey action! The puck drops at Mullett Arena in Tempe at precisely eight o'clock local time (8:00 PM). Those unable to attend can catch all the action live through various broadcast networks including ESPN+ online or BSSC channel number six hundred ninety-three and BSSD channel number six hundred ninety-four for away broadcasts or SCRIPPS network if you're rooting from home territory.
