Clash at Prudential Center: Anaheim Ducks Face New Jersey Devils

As the Anaheim Ducks prepare to take on the New Jersey Devils at the Prudential Center, fans are looking for signs of hope after a series of challenging games. The upcoming match scheduled for December 18 is an opportunity for the Ducks to turn their fortunes around, but recent performances suggest that it won't be an easy task.

In their last game against the New York Rangers on December 16, the Ducks struggled significantly. Scoring only once and conceding five goals reflects a team that was outplayed in almost every aspect of the game. With a shooting percentage of just 3 percent and losing over half of their faceoffs, it's clear that improvements are needed both in offense and in controlling play.

The powerplay unit failed to capitalize on any opportunities during this game, which has been a recurring issue for ANA. Without converting these chances into goals, winning becomes much harder. Additionally, goaltending was less than stellar with a save percentage below 90 percent – another area where enhancement is necessary if they want to compete with teams like NJ.

However, not all is doom and gloom for ANA fans. Despite these setbacks, there were some positives from previous games that could be built upon. For instance, in their encounter with the New York Islanders on December 14th, although they lost by one goal margin (4-3), they showed more offensive prowess by scoring three times with a shooting percentage of approximately 13 percent.

Moreover, during this match against NYI, ANA demonstrated resilience by fighting back from behind which indicates character within the team – something that could serve them well against NJ if they find themselves trailing.

Looking ahead to NJ's home advantage at Prudential Center might seem daunting given ANA's recent form; however sports are unpredictable and momentum can shift quickly from one game to another. The Ducks have shown glimpses of what they're capable when things click together - it’s about finding consistency now.

With strategic adjustments and focusing on strengthening their powerplay effectiveness as well as tightening up defensively especially in net-minding duties; there’s potential for an upset even away from home soil.

Ducks' fans should mark their calendars for December 18th when Anaheim will face off against New Jersey Devils at Prudential Center located in Newark at zip code 07102. The puck drops at midnight UTC time (converts to local time accordingly) and viewers can catch live action through various broadcast networks including BSSC channel 693 or via internet streaming service ESPN+.
