The game at SAP Center in San Jose was an offensive showcase for the Ducks, who managed to net six goals on thirty shots. The team's powerplay unit was particularly effective, converting two out of five opportunities. These crucial powerplay goals were part of a broader narrative that saw the Ducks dominate special teams play throughout the night.

Anaheim's performance was not just limited to their powerplay prowess; they also scored once while shorthanded and added three even-strength goals to their tally. Their shooting accuracy was impressive as they finished with a twenty percent shooting percentage. An empty-net goal sealed their victory late in the game.

Defensively, Anaheim stood firm when most needed. The goaltender for the Ducks had an impeccable night between the pipes, saving all but four of twenty-eight shots faced and finishing with a save percentage of one hundred percent. This included five saves during shorthanded situations where they were able to fend off three out of eight shots by San Jose's attackers.

On faceoffs, both teams were neck-and-neck with seventy-one attempts each; however, it was San Jose who edged out slightly better in this department winning fifty-four percent compared to Anaheim's forty-six percent win rate on draws.
