Ducks Set to Glide Against Senators at Honda Center Showdown

As the Anaheim Ducks prepare to host the Ottawa Senators at Honda Center, fans are eager for what promises to be an engaging matchup. The Ducks have shown a mixed bag of results in their recent games, and as they return to their home ice on March 7th, they will look to leverage their venue advantage.

In their last outing against the Los Angeles Kings, the Ducks displayed resilience by pushing the game into a shootout after tying in regulation and overtime. Despite falling short with a final score of 2-3, there were positive takeaways. The goaltending was exceptional with a save percentage rounding up to 100 percent on an impressive total of 48 saves. However, faceoff performance was less than ideal with only a 32 percent win rate which they will need to improve upon.

The previous home game saw the Ducks fall against the Columbus Blue Jackets with a scoreline that reflected defensive lapses leading to seven goals conceded. While offensive production was strong during power plays in that match-up – contributing significantly to their four goals – it wasn't enough for victory.

Against Buffalo Sabres away from home, Anaheim showcased its scoring efficiency by capitalizing on powerplay opportunities and securing a win with four goals from just fifteen shots reflecting an excellent shooting percentage of around 27 percent.

Looking ahead at the clash with Senators, Anaheim's focus should be on maintaining strong goaltending while improving faceoff outcomes and capitalizing on powerplay chances as seen in past performances. Consistency across all three periods will be key for them if they wish to add another victory at Honda Center.

Fans can catch this exciting game live on ESPN+ or BSW when it kicks off at Honda Center in Anaheim; puck drop is scheduled for March 7th at 7:00 PM local time (PST).
