The Ducks showcased an impressive performance on their home ice at Honda Center. The team's goaltender was particularly outstanding, saving all 29 shots and securing a shutout win. With such impenetrable defense, the Ducks maintained control over the game's tempo from start to finish.

Offensively, Anaheim was relentless. They fired off 25 shots and found success with a shooting percentage of sixteen percent. The second period proved pivotal for the Ducks as they scored three goals that set them firmly ahead of their opponents. Their powerplay unit capitalized on one out of five opportunities which contributed significantly to widening the gap in scores.

The Blackhawks struggled to find their footing against a robust Ducks defense that blocked eleven shots and took away any momentum Chicago hoped to build. Despite having sixty faceoffs like their counterparts, they only won twenty-five compared to Anaheim's thirty-five wins in this crucial aspect of play.

Anaheim also demonstrated discipline by limiting themselves to just four penalties totaling fourteen minutes while Chicago racked up eight penalties for twenty-two minutes. This disciplined approach allowed the Ducks more time with even strength where they scored three goals and effectively managed the game.
