The game at Honda Center saw the Calgary Flames take an early lead, scoring twice in the first period and adding another two goals in the second. The Anaheim Ducks entered the third period without any points on the board but managed to mount a significant comeback attempt by netting three goals. Despite their efforts, they were unable to close the gap as Calgary matched their intensity with two additional goals to seal their victory.

For fans of The Ducks, there were notable performances despite the loss. The team's goaltender made 21 saves on 27 shots for a save percentage rounding to one hundred percent. On offense, Anaheim managed to fire off 22 shots with a shooting percentage of fourteen percent and contributed six assists throughout the contest.

The powerplay opportunities for both teams showed contrasting efficiencies; while The Flames capitalized on two out of five chances (forty percent), The Ducks failed to convert any of their two powerplay opportunities. In terms of faceoffs, both teams were nearly even with Anaheim winning forty-nine percent compared to Calgary's fifty-one percent.

Defensively speaking, blocked shots were a strong point for The Ducks as they recorded twenty-four blocks against thirteen from their opponents. However, giveaways proved costly for Anaheim as they gave up possession twelve times compared to nine by Calgary.

Looking ahead after this tough home defeat, fans can catch The Anaheim Ducks in action again when they travel to face off against Los Angeles Kings at Crypto.com Arena on April 14th at 7:30 PM Pacific Time. This upcoming match will be available for viewing across various networks including ESPN+ online and BSSC/BSW/BSSD on television.
