Throughout the game, the Ducks managed to put up a fight despite facing significant challenges against the Blues’ aggressive gameplay. The team scored once in each of the second and third periods but couldn't match the offensive firepower of their opponents. On defense, Anaheim's goaltenders faced an onslaught from St. Louis, saving 19 out of 26 shots directed at them. Despite these efforts, they were unable to stem the tide as seven goals slipped past them over three periods.

Noteworthy Performances from Ducks Players


Several players stood out for their contributions during this tough matchup. Nikita Nesterenko and Cutter Gauthier each netted one goal for Anaheim, showcasing their skill despite adverse circumstances. Mason McTavish also made notable contributions with two assists throughout the game.


Jacob Trouba led defensively with four hits and two takeaways but also spent time in penalty trouble along with several teammates contributing to six penalties totaling fifteen minutes lost in playtime which could have been crucial under different circumstances.
