First Period

The opening period saw a slow start for the Ducks as they failed to score any goals. The Wild capitalized on this opportunity with Kirill Kaprizov scoring early, setting an aggressive tone for Minnesota. Anaheim's defense struggled to contain the pressure from their opponents, leading to multiple missed opportunities.

Second Period

In the second period, Beckett Sennecke managed to put one past Minnesota's goaltender, bringing some hope back for Anaheim fans. However, this was quickly overshadowed by two more goals from the Wild. Despite efforts from players like Troy Terry and Mason McTavish who each contributed assists during powerplays and even-strength situations respectively, it wasn't enough to shift momentum.
