First Period

The opening period saw the Anaheim Ducks take an early lead with Chris Kreider finding the back of the net. His precision and timing set the tone for what would be an intense matchup. The Golden Knights struggled to break through Lukas Dostal's defense, as he made crucial saves that kept them scoreless.

Second Period

In the second period, Ryan Poehling added another goal for the Ducks, assisted by Troy Terry and Jacob Trouba. This period also witnessed increased aggression from both sides, resulting in penalties that neither team capitalized on. The Vegas squad managed to get on board with a goal but still trailed behind.

Third Period

As tensions rose in the third period, Kreider struck again for his second goal of the night. Despite efforts from Vegas' offense, including two goals that brought them close to leveling up with Anaheim's tally, it was not enough to overcome Dostal’s steadfast goaltending and defensive plays by Radko Gudas.

Anaheim's victory was sealed when they scored an empty-netter towards game end. This win highlighted key moments such as Chris Kreider’s pivotal goals and Lukas Dostal’s impressive saves which were instrumental in securing this triumph over their rivals.
