First Period

The game began with both teams displaying offensive prowess. The Ducks managed to score early in the period, setting the tone for an aggressive match. However, the Oilers quickly responded with two goals of their own, showcasing their ability to capitalize on opportunities and ending the period ahead.

Second Period

In the second period, each team added another goal to their tally. The Ducks' powerplay unit was effective as they converted one of their five opportunities into a goal. This kept them within striking distance of the Oilers who maintained a slight edge by scoring twice during even-strength play.

Third Period

The final period saw an explosive performance from Leo Carlsson who emerged as a key player for the Ducks. His contribution included one goal and two assists which were pivotal in turning the tide against Edmonton. Alex Killorn also made his presence felt by scoring crucial points that helped secure Anaheim's lead.

Despite Connor McDavid’s efforts for Edmonton with his impressive playmaking skills resulting in multiple points throughout the game, it was not enough to overcome Anaheim's relentless attack in this thrilling contest.
