Coyotes Set to Clash with Blackhawks at Mullett Arena in Tempe Showdown

As the Arizona Coyotes prepare to host the Chicago Blackhawks at Mullett Arena, fans are bracing for what promises to be an electrifying matchup on Halloween night. The Coyotes, coming off a mixed bag of recent performances, have shown they can be both formidable and vulnerable.

In their last game against the Los Angeles Kings on October 28th, the Coyotes displayed a strong start with an impressive four goals in the first period. However, they couldn't maintain that momentum and failed to score in the subsequent periods. Despite this lapse, there were positives; notably their goaltending which saved 36 out of 41 shots – a save percentage of nearly 88 percent. Their penalty kill was also effective; they didn't allow any powerplay goals from five opportunities.

The offense's shooting percentage stood at around 17 percent that night – higher than their season average – but it wasn't enough to secure victory as they fell one goal short. This loss highlighted a critical area for improvement: consistency across all three periods.

Looking back further to October 25th against the Kings again but this time away from home soil, Arizona managed three goals on 27 shots while conceding six. The team's defensive play was less effective compared to their most recent outing; however, one notable strength was their powerplay performance where they scored once out of four chances.

Against Anaheim Ducks on October 21st at Mullett Arena itself, Arizona showcased defensive prowess by allowing only one goal throughout the game and winning with two goals scored on just over seven percent shooting accuracy. Their goaltender had an exceptional night with a save percentage touching near perfection at around 97 percent.

These past games paint a picture of inconsistency for ARI but also show flashes of brilliance particularly in defense and goaltending which could prove pivotal against CHI. The Blackhawks are not without their threats but if ARI can harness their strengths effectively while shoring up weaknesses such as maintaining offensive pressure throughout all periods and capitalizing on scoring opportunities consistently - especially during powerplays - then fans could witness an exhilarating victory for ARI come Halloween night.

The upcoming game is scheduled for October 31st at Mullett Arena in Tempe with puck drop set for shortly after midnight local time (2:00 AM UTC). Fans eager not to miss any action can catch live broadcasts via ESPN+ online or tune into NBCS-CHI+ or SCRIPPS depending on locale preferences.
