Can the Arizona Coyotes Maintain Momentum at Wells Fargo Center?

As the Arizona Coyotes prepare to face off against the Philadelphia Flyers at the Wells Fargo Center, fans are eager to see if their team can continue their recent performance trends. The Coyotes have shown a mix of outcomes in their past games, with a notable victory and a tough loss.

In their last game against the Colorado Avalanche, despite a solid goaltending performance with 22 saves and a save percentage of 100 percent, the Coyotes fell short, scoring only once on 25 shots for a shooting percentage of just four percent. They struggled in faceoffs too, winning only 43 percent of them. This was compounded by an unfavorable plus-minus ratio of -20.

However, looking back at another recent game against the San Jose Sharks paints a different picture. The Coyotes emerged victorious with five goals from 30 shots – an impressive shooting percentage of seventeen percent – and showed strength in powerplay situations by capitalizing on one out of three opportunities. Their faceoff win rate was slightly better than even at fifty-one percent.

The most encouraging sign came from their home game versus Ottawa Senators where they scored four goals from thirty-eight shots (ten percent shooting accuracy) and won fifty-four percent of faceoffs. This resilience led them to overturn an early deficit into a win.

As they head into Philadelphia's territory, maintaining strong goaltending will be crucial for Arizona as well as improving on special teams' performance and faceoff battles which have been inconsistent recently.
