Can the Coyotes Outmaneuver the Avalanche at Ball Arena?

As the Arizona Coyotes prepare to face off against the Colorado Avalanche at Ball Arena, fans are eager to see if their team can carry forward the momentum from their recent performances. The upcoming game, scheduled for February 18th, is a crucial one for ARI as they look to build on their past successes and overcome challenges.

The Coyotes have shown a mixed bag of results in their previous games. On December 24th, despite a valiant effort in the third period where they scored once and held strong defensively, ARI fell short against COL with a final score of 1-4. The statistics were not in favor of Arizona; they had a shooting percentage of just four percent and won only 43 percent of faceoffs.

However, looking back at another recent game on December 22nd against San Jose Sharks provides a glimmer of hope. The Coyotes managed an impressive victory with five goals scored and an overall shooting percentage of seventeen percent. Their powerplay clicked at an eighty-eight percent success rate for faceoffs during those opportunities.

In contrast to these fluctuating performances was ARI's game on December 20th versus Ottawa Senators where they secured a win with four goals and ten percent shooting accuracy. They also demonstrated defensive resilience by blocking thirteen shots and winning fifty-four percent of faceoffs.

The key takeaway from these past games is that when ARI capitalizes on scoring opportunities and maintains strong defense by blocking shots effectively, they stand a much better chance against formidable opponents like COL.

Colorado Avalanche presents its own set of challenges; during their last encounter with Arizona, they boasted fifteen percent shooting accuracy along with winning fifty-seven percent of faceoffs which contributed significantly to their victory over ARI.

For Arizona Coyotes' fans looking ahead to this matchup, it's clear that maintaining high energy levels throughout all periods will be essential. Improving faceoff win percentages could give them better control over the game's pace while focusing on creating quality scoring chances will be critical for overcoming Colorado's goaltending which has been solid based on past performances.

With anticipation building up for this clash between two competitive teams, fans can catch all the action live from Denver or tune into ESPN+ nationally or SCRIPPS locally as per broadcast networks listings. Remember that puck drop is scheduled for February 18th at Ball Arena – don't miss out!
