Senators and Coyotes Clash in Canadian Tire Centre Showdown

As the Arizona Coyotes prepare to face off against the Ottawa Senators at the Canadian Tire Centre, fans are eager to see if their team can turn around a challenging streak. The Coyotes have been on a rocky path, with recent games highlighting areas that need tightening up before they hit the ice in Ottawa.

In their last game against the Edmonton Oilers, despite a strong start with an early goal, the Coyotes succumbed to a 6-3 defeat. The game statistics revealed some concerns; notably, they lost 58 percent of faceoffs and were outshot by their opponents. Their shooting percentage stood at 12 percent compared to the Oilers' more efficient 23 percent.

The previous encounter with Colorado Avalanche also ended unfavorably for Arizona. Although they managed to put up three goals and had an impressive save percentage of nearly 100 percent from their goaltender, it wasn't enough as they fell short by one goal in a 4-3 loss. Faceoffs continued to be an issue as they won only 43 percent of them.

Against Carolina Hurricanes, Arizona's performance dipped further with only one goal scored while conceding five. A mere three percent shooting accuracy was recorded – a stark contrast to Carolina's robust 17 percent.

These past performances indicate that for upcoming games, particularly against Ottawa Senators who will have home advantage and crowd support behind them, Arizona needs to focus on improving faceoff win percentages and capitalizing on scoring opportunities.

The game is scheduled for March 2nd at Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa. Fans can catch all the action live on ESPN+ or SCRIPPS starting from midnight UTC time zone (7 PM Eastern Time).
