Coyotes Seek Redemption on Home Ice Against the Kraken

The Arizona Coyotes are gearing up for a pivotal matchup at Mullett Arena against the Seattle Kraken, and fans are eager to see if they can turn their fortunes around after a mixed bag of recent performances. The Coyotes have shown both flashes of brilliance and areas in need of improvement, which will be crucial factors in their upcoming game.

In their last encounter with the Chicago Blackhawks on March 10th, the Coyotes fell short despite netting four goals. Their offensive prowess was evident as they managed to put 36 shots on goal, converting at an 11 percent shooting rate. However, defensive lapses led to a -7 plus-minus rating and ultimately a loss with six goals conceded. The powerplay unit failed to capitalize on two opportunities, highlighting an area that needs tightening up.

On March 9th against the Detroit Red Wings, ARI showcased what they're capable of when firing on all cylinders. Dominating with four goals and maintaining a solid defense that left Detroit scoreless demonstrated their potential for success. The powerplay contributed one goal from three shots – an efficiency that would be welcome against SEA.

However, it wasn't all smooth sailing for ARI; facing off against Minnesota Wild just one day prior showed vulnerabilities as they succumbed to a late surge by the Wild in the third period. Despite this setback, there were positives: ARI's goaltending was strong with 23 saves made out of 26 shots faced.

Looking ahead to SEA's visitation presents both challenge and opportunity for ARI. SEA comes into this game without any underestimation; however, if ARI can leverage their home advantage effectively while addressing defensive issues seen against Chicago and harnessing their scoring ability displayed versus Detroit – there is every chance for redemption.

The key battles will likely be fought in faceoff circles where ARI has been inconsistent but has shown capability with faceoff win percentages hovering around or above fifty percent across different strengths (even strength: fifty-two percent vs DET). Special teams could also play a pivotal role; improving upon that eleven percent powerplay success rate could tip scales in favor of Arizona.

As fans prepare for what promises to be an exciting night at Mullett Arena on March 23rd at 7:00 PM local time (AZ), expectations are high for the Coyotes to deliver an assertive performance worthy of their passionate support base. With coverage available across ESPN+, ROOT Sports NW, and SCRIPPS networks – supporters won't miss any action from what hopes to be another thrilling chapter in this season's narrative.
