Arizona Coyotes and Vancouver Canucks: A Duel in the Desert at Mullett Arena

As the Arizona Coyotes prepare to host the Vancouver Canucks at Mullett Arena, fans are buzzing with anticipation for what promises to be a thrilling encounter. The Coyotes, coming off a string of varied performances, are looking to assert their dominance on home ice.

In their last game against the Seattle Kraken on March 23rd, the Coyotes showcased resilience and strategic prowess. Despite being outshot 28 to 26, they managed an impressive win in overtime. Their goaltending was particularly noteworthy; with a save percentage rounding up to an impeccable 100 percent over 64 minutes of playtime. This defensive solidity will be crucial when facing the Canucks.

The offensive side also showed promise as Arizona capitalized on opportunities with an 8 percent shooting percentage and clinched victory through an overtime goal. However, there is room for improvement in special teams play; they failed to convert on two powerplay chances despite winning all faceoffs during those opportunities.

On March 21st against the Dallas Stars, though, it was a different story. The Coyotes suffered from a -15 plus-minus rating and lost by three goals while only managing two themselves – both during even-strength play – despite landing more hits than their opponents.

But it's not just about reflecting on past games; it's about looking forward and applying lessons learned. One such lesson comes from their game against New Jersey Devils on March 16th where they scored four goals from just 32 shots – translating into a formidable shooting percentage of 12 percent – while also demonstrating strong goaltending by saving all but one of New Jersey's shots.

The upcoming match against Vancouver will test Arizona’s ability to maintain these high standards under pressure. The Canucks have been performing well recently too but will face a determined ARI squad eager to please its fans with another display of skillful hockey.

For fans wanting to catch this exciting matchup between ARI and VAN live can do so at Mullett Arena in Tempe or tune into ESPN+ online or SCRIPPS TV network at precisely 7:00 PM MST on April 3rd. This duel in the desert is not one you'll want to miss!
