Can the Boston Bruins Dominate at Nationwide Arena?

As the Boston Bruins prepare to face off against the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena, fans are eager to see if their team can carry forward their recent momentum. The Bruins have been on a roll, and their performance in past games suggests they could dominate once again.

In their last encounter with the Detroit Red Wings on December 31st, BOS showed a remarkable ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities. They netted an impressive five goals from just 24 shots, boasting a shooting percentage of 21 percent. Their offensive prowess was complemented by solid defense and goaltending; they blocked 17 shots and had a perfect save percentage, turning away all but three of the Red Wings' attempts.

The power play has been another area where BOS has excelled. In their game against the New Jersey Devils on December 31st, they scored two power play goals out of three opportunities. This efficiency highlights how lethal they can be when given the man advantage.

However, it's not just about scoring; BOS also demonstrated physicality with 39 hits in that game against New Jersey. They've shown that they can outmuscle opponents and maintain puck possession as evidenced by their eight takeaways.

One area for improvement is faceoffs – winning only 32 percent against Detroit and even less in previous games – but this hasn't stopped them from finding ways to win.

On the other side of the ice stands CBJ who will be looking to defend home turf. While not as dominant in recent performances, CBJ cannot be underestimated especially when playing with home advantage at Nationwide Arena.

The upcoming clash promises to be an exciting one with both teams looking to assert themselves early in this matchup scheduled for January 3rd at midnight ET. Fans should expect BOS's aggressive offense to challenge CBJ's defense throughout each period.

For those who bleed black and gold, mark your calendars! The game will be broadcasted nationally on ESPN+ for internet users or NESN channel 628 for TV viewers following from afar while local fans can tune into BSOH channel 660. Don't miss what could potentially be another showcase of strength from your Boston Bruins!
