Boston's goaltender played a pivotal role by saving all 28 shots he faced from Toronto players, maintaining a perfect save percentage and securing his team's win. This impenetrable defense under pressure was crucial for keeping Toronto at bay despite their own aggressive play which included out-hitting Boston with 68 hits compared to Boston's 65.


On offense, every shot counted for Boston as they achieved a shooting percentage of twelve percent from their total thirty-four shots on goal. Their tenacity also showed through blocked attempts where they stopped twenty-four shots from reaching their netminder.

While special teams often make or break games, this night belonged to Boston’s powerplay unit which scored two goals out of eight shots during man advantages while also boasting an impeccable faceoff win rate during these moments at one hundred percent efficiency.


Conversely, despite having five powerplay opportunities themselves throughout this matchup, The Maple Leafs failed to convert any into goals against a staunch Bruin penalty kill squad that did not allow any pucks past them while shorthanded six times.
