The game started off promising for the Bruins as they managed to net an early goal in the first period, setting a hopeful tone. This goal was one of their only 15 shots throughout the game, showcasing a shooting percentage of seven percent. Despite their efforts, this would be their only goal scored during this match.

The Bruins demonstrated physicality on ice with a total of 70 hits and blocked 20 shots from the Panthers. Their defensive efforts were notable but ultimately not enough to stave off the aggressive offense from Florida. In terms of faceoffs, both teams were neck and neck with Boston winning 28 out of 54 attempts.

Penalties proved costly for both teams; however, it was particularly detrimental for Boston who spent significant time at a disadvantage due to accumulating fourteen penalties resulting in eighty-seven penalty minutes. This included one major penalty among them but did not lead to any goals during power plays for either team.

On special teams play, despite having three opportunities on power plays, Boston could not capitalize on any chances to score additional goals. Their power play shots amounted to two but none found the back of net.

Florida Panthers turned up their performance significantly after an uneventful first period by scoring three goals each in both second and third periods respectively. Their offensive surge was backed by thirty-three shots at goal throughout the game which translated into six successful scores against Boston's goaltender who made twenty-seven saves that night.

The Panther's ability to convert opportunities into points was evident as they scored once out of six power play chances while also managing a shorthanded goal which contributed to their dominant win over Boston.

As fans look ahead, they can anticipate another exciting matchup between these two teams as The Boston Bruins are set to host Florida Panthers at TD Garden in Boston on May 10th at 7:00 PM Eastern Time.
