Game Highlights


The game began with promise for the Bruins as they managed to net one goal in each of the first two periods. However, their offense stalled there, unable to find the back of the net in the third period. The Stars capitalized on their opportunities, scoring once in the first period and adding three more goals in an explosive second period before sealing their victory with another goal in the third.


Special teams played a pivotal role throughout this matchup. The Bruins converted one out of four power-play opportunities but struggled to contain Dallas's power play; The Stars scored three times on five chances. This efficiency on special teams was crucial for Dallas's success.

Player Performances


David Pastrnak stood out for Boston despite the loss, contributing one goal on seven shots. His performance highlighted his critical role within Boston's offensive strategy. Meanwhile, Justin Brazeau also found success by scoring once from his two attempts at goal.


On defense and between pipes Jeremy Swayman faced a challenging night against an aggressive Dallas offense that fired 32 shots towards him; he made 27 saves but allowed four goals before an empty-netter increased his total goals against to five.
