The Bruins took an early lead in the first period with two goals, setting a tone for the match. Despite not scoring in the second period, they managed to hold off the Penguins effectively. A crucial goal in the third period sealed their victory.


On the other side, despite a slow start with no goals in the first two periods, the Pittsburgh Penguins fought back hard in the third period by netting two goals. However, their efforts were not enough to overcome Boston's lead.

Star Performances


David Pastrnak stood out for Boston with one goal and one assist. His performance was pivotal to Boston's success on ice as he played for over twenty minutes. Pavel Zacha also made significant contributions with two assists and maintaining a positive plus-minus rating throughout his time on ice.


For Pittsburgh, Alex Nedeljkovic displayed commendable goaltending despite being on the losing end; his saves kept Pittsburgh within striking distance throughout much of the game.

Boston's goaltender Joonas Korpisalo deserves special mention for his exceptional performance between the pipes; saving 31 shots out of 33 faced is no small feat and played a critical role in securing this win for his team.
