First Period

The opening period set an intense pace with both teams scoring twice. For Boston, Michael Eyssimont and Nikita Zadorov found the back of the net early on. Eyssimont's goal came from a precise assist by Sean Kuraly, showcasing his playmaking ability. Meanwhile, Zadorov capitalized on a defensive lapse by Vegas to tie up the score.

Second Period

In the second period, Boston managed to add another goal courtesy of David Pastrnak during a powerplay opportunity. However, this was overshadowed by Vegas's three-goal surge led by William Karlsson and Mark Stone who were instrumental in turning up their offensive pressure.

Third Period

The final period saw both teams adding one more goal each to their tally. Tanner Jeannot scored for Boston with assistance from Charlie McAvoy and Mason Lohrei but it wasn't enough to overcome Vegas's lead established earlier in the game.

Despite Jeremy Swayman's efforts between the pipes with 31 saves out of 37 shots faced, including critical stops during penalty kills, it was not enough to secure victory for Boston.
