First Period

The game began with a strong start from the New York Rangers, who quickly took control by scoring two goals. The Bruins struggled to find their rhythm and were unable to capitalize on any opportunities during this period. With only nine shots on goal compared to the Rangers’ twelve, Boston found themselves trailing early.

Second Period

The second period mirrored much of what transpired in the first as the Blueshirts continued their offensive pressure. They added another two goals while maintaining solid defense against any attempts by Boston. The B’s managed just six shots on goal during this segment and failed again to score.

Third Period

Entering into what seemed like an uphill battle in the third period, Elias Lindholm emerged as a key player for Boston with his involvement in both of their goals. Lindholm assisted Morgan Geekie’s goal and contributed significantly alongside Hampus Lindholm's efforts that led to Casey Mittelstadt scoring later on. However, despite these efforts and outshooting New York 6-to-5 during this time frame, it was too little too late for Boston.
